Hello! I'm Rachel Walter.
I'm a fractional product and brand leader.
I help companies unlock the growth potential in their businesses. Whether it's trapped behind an existing product that needs fresh eyes or requires starting with a blank sheet of paper, I'll get to the root of it and work with your team to realize the opportunity.
My Work
If you're like most leaders, you don’t need pricing recommendations or product positioning—you need an actual pricing model and a pitch deck that sells.
Whatever the mission, I bring strategy, bias for action, and the ability to deliver more than a diagnosis: I'll define the roadmap and lead the work to make it happen.
I’m a great fit for:
Early-stage founders with a new product in need of go-to-market leadership
Established businesses that want to unlock new revenue streams from existing products
Any size organization that believes there are hidden opportunities in their business and needs help unlocking it
If you fit the bill or have an opportunity you can’t put your finger on, let's talk.
About Me
I’m an entrepreneurial leader with 15 years of product and brand experience. My track record spans B2B, B2C, and DTC businesses in a variety of industries including consumer products, SaaS, insurance, and wireless.
I was 23 years old and living in Sri Lanka as a Fulbright Scholar when I developed the idea for School House, a socially responsible collegiate apparel brand. Five years later, I was on Inc.’s “30 Under 30” list and School House was carried in over 100 campus bookstores. I had raised over $2M in angel capital, taught myself product design, driven across 40 states with a garment rack in my back seat, and figured out how to start Sri Lanka’s first living wage apparel factory.
My undergrad at Duke taught me: critical thinking, curiosity, perspective. School House taught me: everything else.
A decade later, my happy place is still a blank sheet of paper. Show me a business, an idea, or a problem that needs solving and say “go.” I’ll report back with a vision and carefully-crafted plan for making it happen.
Off-hours, I’m a proud mom to Lars, amateur drummer, and currently renovating a 1978 fixer-upper in Durham, North Carolina.
